СUsed the service for the first time, there was all easy and booking and payment ... Before you use the service Thrifly Dollar, long studied the reviews, many negative (write that take money for services not clear that the reserve is not returned in full without any reason, or pass a car with damage and then keep the amount for repair), so all the time waiting for something bad, but actually it turned out just the opposite: a car at the airport in Stuttgart issued for 10 minutes, passed the time spent just one minute. The car was exactly those characteristics that I chose when booking, clean, as if fresh from the salon. Thanks to the staff car rental for efficiency. No extra money I was not taken despite the fact that, unfortunately, I did not fill the car up to a full tank, has not calculated the number of liters. Amount of 300 euros booked in my account, returned for 2 days in full without deduction. Frankly, I was very pleased with the first experience of rental and always will use this service in the future, and also will recommend to friends and acquaintances. Thank you to all the staff involved in the process for efficiency and interest in a positive result. Final score: excellent!

Everything worked fine - great little car

Collecting the car was fine - girl at Thrifty desk was friendly enough......after telling us we were late because we'd guessed at 9am rental, but didn't get there until about 11:30 because of late train! Only "problem" with the car was it was SO BASIC that it didn't even have a radio. Nor a CD player, so we had no way of listening to music or anything while we were driving. The voucher/website details said the car would at least have a radio, so we were frustrated that that wasn't fulfilled. Other than those glitches, the car worked fine and we were happy with it. The return process went smoothly enough too. The hire of a GPS is very expensive - so we borrowed one from a friend instead for free.

Very simple handover procedure and directiosn to car pick up including informing us of the car park bay numbers. Car was new and clean and comfortable. Drop off procedure was simple and quick, we had not filled up so the car hire personnel informed us of a nearby petrol station so we had time to refuel and avoid any further charges.

Hiring was a fairly hassle-free experience, but I wasn't happy with the €1000 Euro deposit as I had already taken out extra insurance cover. The hire car park at the airport is not ideal for people with vertigo as you have to drive down a spiral ramp from, in this case, the sixth storey. The collection point is a long walk from the desk and is a real problem for disabled people.They need to get their act together on this. Similarly the return point was a long walk from the check-in desk for our return flight.

Value for money

Collection and drop off great. Car was quite high mileage, but I guess you get what you pay for. Not particularly happy about the 10 euro charge for cleaning, after all I'm not going to try find a car wash at 4am in a country I'm not familiar with. Friendly staff.

Got upgraded to really great car with good price offer. Surprised to find car had sat nav, reversing camera and parking sensors together with cruise control. Diesel fuel just made the experience a joyful one. Service was excellent with friendly staff.

Very friendly staff. Picked up promptly from the airport and car hire only a couple of minutes from the airport. Website stated car fuel was 1/4 full and return 1/4 full. But this did not happen. I was told by easirent that I had to pay for 1/4 tank (they charged £20) and return empty. However the tank was not quite 1/4 full.

Hannover Airport (HAJ) is called Langenhagen Airport by some. It is thought of as a local airport by the residents of the municipality of Langenhagen. Hannover Airport first opened its doors in 1952. It replaced a very basic airstrip that was awkwardly located within the limits of the city. Two state-of-the-art terminals were later built in 1973. In 1998, the already reasonably sized airport increased in size by adding Terminal C to help manage overcrowding. Now 20 aircraft can use aircraft stands and jetways at the same time. All terminals are big enough to receive large planes like Boeing 747s. Terminal D is principally used by the British Royal Air Force. It caters to troops based throughout northern Germany.

The year 2000 marked the beginning of the airport authority project to construct the S-Bahn shuttle. It travels on a route with stops in between the airport and the city of Hamelin. Trains leave like clockwork every 30 minutes. The whole route is travelled at high speed in a mere 17 minutes. The train was part of a modernisation scheme and a development from the previous bus service that departed more often than the S-Bahn. It took fewer passengers and was not as efficient during busy hours. The new rail service has been extended into the township of Paderborn. Taxis and car rental are also good options.

Flights from most major airlines go in and out of HAJ. There are also many flights operated by no-frills airlines, the most prominent one being TUIfly, which runs many flights every day from HAJ.
