Booking was smooth, car worked fine, price OK

I picked this car up from National in Melbourne, drove to Philip Island and Dandenongs and back, on a few dirt roads too, the car (a Holden) went well, OK on fuel, it was cheapest deal I could find, and the site gave me a few options from different companies, with details of the cars and the extras, what's not included and so on. It all went smoothly. The staff were a bit busy and abrupt but no probs when I brought it back.

Easy to use site. Only drawback is that you don't know who you are booking with until you have committed. You can always cancel, though if it doesn't suit. For instance, I wasn't aware that the firm selected was off airport until I received the confirmation. Didn't bother me, and the shuttle service was excellent.

The only thing I didn't like was:- The original website offered excess cover insurance at 50% off. What it did not say was that this insurance was for use in Europe only and I had to pay Questor an additional sum to get cover for Australia...Make the web pages more honest !!! Otherwise the booking, the car, the pick up and the drop off was absolutely brilliant!!!!!

Very cheap, good car, somewhat near the airport...

We were visiting friends in Wellington, New Zealand and used 121, who arranged a rental voucher for 'Ace Rentals', a local firm. We got a very reasonable 2006 Nissan with about 80'000 miles on the clock which I am told is good for New Zealand. The only problem was the location, a good 15 minute drive from the airport, but there was a free shuttle so for the money we could not really complain. The car was well maintained and clean, and the staff very nice. I would definitely not call this 'Airport' rental though.

Tullamarine Airport is one of several airports serving Melbourne, Australia. It's by far the most regularly used, dealing with both domestic passengers and international alike. The airport is about 23kms from Melbourne centre; preferred methods of access are bus, rail and cheap car hire in Tullamarine Airport itself.

There are four terminals mostly in one main building; only terminal two handles international routes. The others are all for domestic flights. Terminal 4 is a short distance from the other's but uses the same car parks and other services. Tullamarine airport has two stories with the upper story available for Departures and the ground level dealing with Arrivals. There is an additional mezzanine level – this is like a balcony that overlooks the ground floor.

As a major international airport would normally feature, the usual facilities are all in good supply. There are bars, cafés, pharmacies and general stores. In addition, you'll find money exchange bureaux, bank branches and ATM'. Cheap car hire in Tullamarine Airport is not difficult to find.

Lost property and information desks are found easily. Disabled passengers should note that accessibility for the disabled is paramount at the airport. Within the airport site there is a choice of hotels, catering to varied budgets. For those who enjoy a bit of sport between flights there's an onsite golf course. A variety of awards have been accepted by Tullamarine Airport due to its impressive service and range of facilities.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?
