Avis Budget Group newest partner of Salvage Direct

Avis Budget Group, operator of the world’s most widely recognized brands in the vehicle rental industry, was recently named as Salvage Direct’s newest selling partner. With the new partnership, the car hire firm can now utilize Salvage Direct’s website, its principal auction platform, to sell Avis and Budget cars to buyers around the world. Dan Hoversten, CEO of Salvage Direct, said that the new joint venture will benefit both companys’ customers.

The car rental company has its main office in Parsippany, New Jersey and currently employs 24,000 workers. With operations to over 70 countries worldwide, Avis Budget Group is a leading car rental provider in North America, New Zealand and Australia.

Meanwhile, Salvage Direct was established in 1998 as the very first to offer online auction in the salvage industry. Today, Salvage Direct auctions cars, motorcycles, trucks, boats, power sports, and other commercial and recreational vehicles. Founder of Salvage Direct, Bob Joyce, boasted that insurance and car hire firms always select Salvage Direct, whatever the rate of loss may be, because the company has good reputation, vast experience, fast selling cycle times, worldwide buyers and an auction site.

Earlier last month, Salvage Direct, opened its new Enhanced Processing Center close to Philadelphia. The facility is Salvage Direct’s sixth facility in Pennsylvania, 80th in the world and the first of the company’s 2010 expansion plan.

Moreover, every facility in Salvage Direct’s logistics network was recently upgraded. The new Enhanced Processing Program is expected to provide more details to salvage auction bidders and to raise more the number of units in the inventory.
