What does eRentals do?
We show you available rental cars along with up to the minute pricing from a large number of local rental companies, all over the world.
Can I get a quote?
Due to the nature of the industry, rental vehicle availability and pricing is constantly changing therefore if we were able to send you a quote it would be out of date very quickly. The best way to find the vehicles that are still available along with the current, best available prices is to do a quick search using our car hire search form
What will I need to know before making a booking?
You will need to know where you would like to collect and return the rental vehicle and the dates and times you would like to do this. You will need to enter the driver's age as we have to pass this information on to the rental supplier. Finally, if you are collecting your vehicle from an airport you will need to tell us your flight number so if there is a delay with your flight the supplier will be able to track your progress.
What does the price include?
The rates are usually* fully inclusive of mileage, third party insurance, collision damage waiver, theft waiver, airport surcharges, bail bonds (where needed) and all local taxes.
*please check the terms and conditions for the specific inclusions for the location you have chosen, which you can view once you have selected your vehicle type.
What do you mean by "or similar" in the car class?
It would be impossible to list every vehicle model available around the world so they are categorised into similar groups according to the Association of Car Rental Industry Systems Standards. We display as much information as we can to help you with your selection. In the capacity section you will be able to determine the approximate size of vehicle and the details section will tell you whether the car is manual or auto, with or without air conditioning. For more details on ACRISS car catergories click here.
Is there a minimum or maximum age for renting a car?
In most countries you will need to be over 21 and have held your driving licence for at least a year. However, this does vary from country to country and in some instances if you are under 21 or older than 65 rental companies will allow you to rent a vehicle but some may apply a surcharge to the booking. You should still be able to search using our car hire search form and choose your vehicle; you will find all the details about minimum rental age and surcharges for your age group in the terms and conditions for the specific location and supplier you have chosen. Surcharges are payable locally, directly to the supplier. If you are under 21 or over 65 and are unsure please contact us

What do I need to take with me when collecting my vehicle?
You will need to bring:

- Your driving licence (both parts if you have the newer style UK licence) Please note it is the driver's responsibility to ensure that their licence is valid in their destination.

What do I need to know when I go to collect my car?
When you collect your car from the local rental counter you will need to show your pre-paid rental voucher, ID and Driving licence. The local agent will find your booking and give you a local agreement to sign. We suggest you read this carefully and check that the details contained on the agreement match those found on your prepaid rental voucher. Any additional items you decide to purchase on the local partner"s agreement will be your own financial responsibility.
You will need to give the local agent your credit card to enable them to hold a security deposit on your card. They will also take payment of any additional items you may have purchased such as ski racks or additional charges such as one way fees.
If you purchased Car Hire Excess Insurance at time of booking, make sure you have your policy certificate with you so you can refuse the excess insurance the local supplier will offer you. The excess insurance will cover all the drivers named on the rental agreement. For more information on excess insurance click here.

When you first view the car we suggest you take a least 5 minutes going around the car externally and internally looking for damage. If you spot anything be sure to find a hire car representative (usually they can be found in the car park or go back to the rental desk) and make sure all the damage is recorded on the rental agreement before you drive the car. We suggest you also take a couple of digital photos to show the damage for your records, don"t forget to make sure that the time and date are correctly set on your camera.
What happens if the vehicle is damaged?
If you suffer any mechanical difficulties or accidents with your rental car you must report the details to the local car rental partner within 24 hours. If you are involved in an accident local police should be notified and you will need a copy of a signed police report. Full details of third parties involved should also be taken. An accident report should be completed by the end of the rental period and all rental documentation should be retained. The local rental partner must give authority to repair or replace a vehicle; their details are shown on the local rental agreement. Full details of procedure will be given to you by the local agent and must be followed precisely to meet insurance conditions.
If your vehicle is damaged whilst under your care you will be liable for the full insurance excess. The amount can be found in the terms and conditions for the particular supplier shown after you have selected your vehicle.
